Q & A
Question: What is hypnosis?
Answer: A very relaxed state of mind in which you are very suggestible. The suggestions you want are implanted in your sub-conscious mind which wins out over your will power.
Question: How do I know if I can be hypnotized or not?
Answer: I believe all people can be hypnotized if they are willing.
Question: Will hypnosis work for (smoking, weight loss, etc.)?
Answer: Yes! Hypnosis works for many things! Any time you want to reprogram your sub-conscience mind to match the behavior of your choice you must be vigilant and persistent as you continue to reinforce the suggestions you desire!
Question: Is it okay to hypnotize children?
Answer: Children are already being hypnotized! I teach people to be aware of the suggestions that they are giving to children! This way we can create positive and successful images in their minds eyes, however, if they choose to resist our positive suggestions we fail them.
Question: I’m nervous about being hypnotized … is that normal?
Answer: Some people have learned to be apprehensive about things they know nothing about. Once you learn what hypnosis is about any nervousness will be gone.
Question: Can you hypnotize me against my will?
Answer: No! If you set your will against it, you will be very tense (tight muscles) which is the opposite of relaxed! A friend you trust in a relaxing situation could hypnotize you without you knowing it! I will teach you how to become aware of this!
Question: Will I know what’s going on while being hypnotized?
Answer: Most people are very aware of what is going on and, if it is their first time to be formally hypnotized will not really believe they have been hypnotized! It is very relaxing and very pleasant! The proof shows up in their results! Some people who are very trusting of the person who is hypnotizing them may not be aware of what is going on and may not remember what was said, but this is very rare. I have hypnotized thousands of people and only recall this happening with one client who actually reported that when she was home and practicing her self-hypnosis she thought she was falling asleep each time. When I asked her if she woke-up after the same amount of time passing, she reported,”yes!” I concluded that she had probably gone so deep into hypnosis when I had hypnotized her that she had reached what is called the somnambulist state, and now, while she was home on her own, she was repeating the same pattern. I asked her to sit up and stay alert while I repeated what I had been saying to her while I was hypnotizing her on past visits. She laughed and thought it was so funny what I had been saying. She had been hypnotizing herself and was not really falling asleep as she had thought. She had been getting very positive results for losing weight!
Question: How long is the hypnosis appointment?
Answer: Your first session may be set for one and a half hours. The second and third may be 45 minutes to an hour depending on you.
Question: How many sessions will I need?
Answer: Most people will be well on their way to successfully practicing their on self-hypnosis after their third session, however, a few may feel they need more sessions and I will leave that decision up to them.
